It's a Golden Life

Meet Bug!!! Well....Batman Umm Golden. He is a pug/boston terrier mix. He is verrrry cute. My husband was very strict on the fact that I must get rid of the bunnies before I got a puppy. I had pretty much given up on the dream for a puppy until either Malachi begged for one, or my bunnies died(because I am NOT giving my bunnies away) And, being the Donovan that he is, he surprised me with this adorable 9 week old little boy. I named him Bug. There are just some dogs that are so ugly they are adorable...this puppy just happens to be one of those. He loves to play with you-your sleeve, your shoes, your fingers, oh and toys too. He is pretty cute. He looks like a black pug, but without the adorable curly tail....because they cut it off when he was born :( Malachi loves him already. The puppy doesn't seem to mind Malachi's kung fu grip. He hasn't yelped once! After seeing pictures of the adorable little Bug, Donovan's dad decided a puppy would make a great birthday presen...

I got a sewing machine for my birthday, and Donovan knew more about it than I did!! He helped me figure it all out. So far, I have made a blanket for Dominic and curtains for our bedroom. A purse and skirt are in the making...more pictures of that to come. Malachi's shirt says "tax deduction"-around this time of year, that's very very true! He is trying very hard to crawl! He gets so mad because he just scoots around. I can't wait for the day he figures it out. He will be one happy kid...

This week, Malachi discovered he can roll....everywhere. Now, when you put him on the ground on his back, he rolls until he can't roll anymore. He gets pretty angry that he can't figure out why his belly won't come off the ground!!

mmmmmm... The other night, I decided Malachi looked hungry for some real food! So, we put him in his high chair and gave him some cereal. He really liked it!!!Anytime it got on his hands, he would suck it off! So far, he's tried cereal (some mixed with bananas), sweet potatoes, and applesauce. His favorite is the least flavorful-cereal! He's also becoming very interested in tv, toys and reading! He loves to lay on the floor and kick around. He also will sit with you through 2 books! He loves looking at the pages and touching them.

Malachi is getting so strong! He is learning how to keep his head up. He's figured out how to dig his little toes into the ground, but he hasn't figured out yet that he has to actually move his arms too! He'll figure it out soon I'm sure of it. He is also cutting two teeth. He will look really silly if the two teeth that are cutting only come in for a while! His bottom left tooth and his top right tooth are coming in. Here's crazy Donovan. You may not know this side of him-so I thought I would let you in!! Me with my new hair cut, although you really can't tell!

Gideon Michael Scott Christmas was so relaxing. Donovan, Malachi and I woke up at 8:30 and opened presents. Donovan got me Pirates of the Caribbean 3! So after openeing presents and eating cinnamon rolls, we watched that...well, Malachi and I watched it, Donovan went back to sleep until 1 pm!! Then we went to see National Treasure 2. Malachi loves watching movies, so he did very well the whole time! We also were able to visit Gideon Michael Scott, Jo and Lorenzo's baby. He looks just like Jo right now. He is adorable. Shannan and Meghan A picture of the cousins together Dominic and Malachi Mike, Shannan, Conner, Dominic and Aubrey Mike and Conner We went to Texas this past Sunday through Wednesday! We had such a great time. It was so relaxing not to have to worry about work! We were able to see Donovan's family. We went Christmas shopping, watched movies, ate awesome homecooked food, and were able to hang out with his family for four days. On our layover on the way home, we were able to see my sister Shannan and her kiddos. She just had her last one on June 4th. He is so big for his age. He is as tall as a 9 month old! Those three kids are just adorable. It was the first time in a year and 4 months we'd seen them! We had such a great time. Since my last post, Malachi has grown so much. He started teething already. There aren't any signs of teeth coming through yet, but he is knawing on his hand or anyone else's anything he can get a hold of. He is also drooling quite more than usual....
