One week later

It's been one week with Malachi! I can't believe it's already been a week. Then again, it seems like Donovan and I have known him forever! From his first little kicks inside my belly to his actual birth and living existence outside of me-it's been so amazing. Donovan and I just sit and watch him-as if he were to do some trick. Everything new he does we are so enthralled with. We appreciate all of our family and church family/friends support. The transition of a baby and setting up for him to come has been so much easier than if we didn't have this help. Thank you so much for praying for us, thinking about us and giving Malachi such heartfelt wonderful/adorable gifts. We love you all and are so thankful! We also met Maddox Wood. Not only is he adorable with a precious face, but he looks completely different than Zion and Paige. God's so amazing!

The doctor called this morning and said that she moved our induction appointment up to 6 am. Bright and early on Tuesday morning. So, we will be leaving this home by 5 am to make sure our paperwork is finished nice and early too. We are so excited. We kind of just took some time to get last minute things done today. It was such a nice day too! We can't wait until tomorrow. I hope we'll be able to sleep tonight! Who would've thought Mr. Malachi would last all the way until 2 days before his due date. He sure is stubborn. Whether he likes it or not, he's coming out!

39 weeks!

We had another Dr. Appt. this afternoon. There is actually exciting news. We are scheduled for induction on Tuesday, September 18th at 10 a.m. We are very excited! And quite nervous. It's going to be very weird having another little Golden boy. At least we know when to expect him now! It has been up in the air for 9 months and 3 weeks! We are so excited!!!

Another Dr's Appt

We had another doctors appointment this morning. The doctor said I am 2 cm and still 75% effaced. She asked when we would like to have the baby, as if it were our choice (nowadays it can be). We opted to wait this week out. We figure there is a reason he is still in there-must be all the sugar he's getting..? So, the next appointment is set for Thursday at 1pm. If he doesn't grace us with his presence this week sometime before Thursday, the doctor will be scheduling an induction.

Okay, I was wrong

I don't know if it is something about being right as much as I possibly can, but I have to admit...I was wrong. It's almost September 5th and no Malachi. Donovan and I decided that God is teaching us a lesson of patience, so we backed off of telling him to hurry up! I think I learned my lesson God :)

Predicted due dates

Well, My predicted due date is here! And there's no more or less signs showing labor. Donovan and I both had a long talk with my belly, but I don't think that did a thing. I think that shows his compliance to authority. It's going to be a long 18 years...I think all the staying up until 2 am with excitement finally got to him. We got home from church yesterday at 5pm and he slept from 6 pm until 7:30 am this morning...only because he had to go to work. I wish I could say the same for me. Now I am excited and can't sleep. The past few weeks have been me waking up at all hours thinking about cutting or sorting fabric! Too much WalMart...too little Malachi.

We have a blog!

Well, after much consideration, we (Meghan) decided to create a family blog. I don't know why we didn't think about this sooner. How easy will it be to keep in touch with each other and post pictures? I think blogs are a great idea! The wait for a baby is so....long! It seems like you are pregnant forever! The last month seems the longest because people tell you everyday-"it won't be long now" And all you can ever think about is, when? Donovan and I are so excited. Donovan hasn't been going to sleep until at least 2am for the past 3 nights! I don't know how the man gets so little sleep and still functions. Our Doctor appointment yesterday went pretty well. Dr. Kimberly Morse said that I am 1 cm dialated and 75% effaced. At least I'm dialated. Well, I will let everyone know when we are in labor...after all, it could be anytime now..right?
